Blogging in reverse...

I stopped keeping my blog up to date and lately I have been missing it. My boys used to love coming on the computer and seeing pictures of themselves and I know Jordy would love to read the stories... I know I do. I just plugged in my SD card with 3000+ pictures on it and I am going to make an effort of reminiscing these images and telling their stories. My kids deserve it!

Stars N' Bulls...

Another season of Little League has come and gone for my Little Sluggers.

This year the boys played in different division. Dillon played t-ball again this year and was on the Stars. Fielding was still a little bit of an issue this year but Dill sure liked being up at bat. All in all he played great, and most importantly had FUN!

Jordan played machine pitch this year for the Durham Bulls. It definitely was an adjustment for him but his coach couldn't believe the progress he made this season. Jordan mostly played in right field but too his turns at the Pitchers mound and also as catcher. He did great! JOrdans team finished the season undefeated 13-0!

Cracked Eggs...

Our backyard remains dirt, rocks, dead grass & weeds but there is one addition we have made... A Trampoline!

When I was a kid I was always jealous of my friends who had one. I remember sleeping outside during the warm summer nights with girlfriends fondly! There was definitely shenanigans going on! Maybe I can get up the courage to sleep out with my boys one night. Yeah right, as it is I already set the alarm to no delay and freak out about every sound I hear!

My boys though... they are in heaven!

Except for when they are trying to strangle and punch each other that is!

Of course that happens often enough around here it may be their idea of heaven!

Blue Ribbon Boy...

If you know Jordy then you know that he loves to draw, color, paint, create etc. He is our little artist for sure. At school he gets to attend Art twice a week and they are his favorite days. A few weeks ago Jordan came home and told us that his favorite Art Teacher Mr. Kilgore was submitting his picture in an art contest. We were excited to find out it was for the Arizona State Fair. It had been years since the last time we went, and we couldn't miss seeing his art on display so we took the boys the first day the fair was open.

Imagine our surprise when among the 1st grade submissions we found this:

Our Jordan won 1st Place in the colored pencil division! He was so excited! I don't think he understood that there were prizes to be won!

We spent the rest of our unseasonably warm (or so it seemed to me) day looking for all sorts of fun. Our little Dill Pickles found this wonderful thing:

A favorite ride for both boys was the bumper boats. We had much better luck than the car version!

Who can resist fair food? I personally find it to be the reason to go. My deep fried cheesecake only strengthened that truth. The boys enjoyed super sized snow cones and their very first candy apple. It was deemed better than a caramel one!

Halloween 2012...

Jedi Mind Trick -or- Treating is the way to do it. These little rascals filled their bags and had a great time doing it.

This was our first Halloween at the new house and it couldnt have been better. All the houses in the neighborhood (all 2 streets of it) we live in now were lit up and decorated. It was such a nice change from our last one. We hit up all the houses and even our neighborhood Fire Station (which the boys thought was just about the coolest thing ever) in just less than an hour. It was so fun!

Back in 1985 I sported a really cute look... bangs with a huge chunk cut out. It is apparently a family trait:
