You're pretty!

In the last few weeks Jordan and I have been talking about differences between boys and girls. Mommy is a girl, Jordan and Dillon and Daddy are boys etc. I always tell him he is handsome so we also learned the boys are handsome girls are pretty rule.

On Saturday he was doing his usual I like you, I like you too, I love you, I love you too routine and he looked at me with his huge brown eyes and said "You're pretty".

Grandpa's getting old

I just made my first official digital scrapbook page. It's for a book that being put together for Granpa Vowles 90th birthday. I used to be so afraid of grandpa when I was little. He wasnt mean per say but gruff and had a very deep voice. It's so different to see him now. It's pretty sad. I really liked the photot I used for our page so I am posting it along with this post! It's from Dillon's blessing day. I rememeber that Gma& Gpa Vowles always came down from Utah for our special occasions and I really appreciate that Gpa takes the time now to still come!

Co-sleep = No Sleep?

We have co-slept with both of our midgets. With Jordan it started when I would fall asleep nursing him and after we lived in my in-laws living room for 4 months just snow-balled. After adding Dillon to the mix (and the ever shrinking king sized bed) Jordy just got even more restless during the night and it was awful.
I bought the book "The No Cry Sleep Solution for Toddlers" and quickly read through a few chapters. On 9/19/07 I bit the bullet and made Jordan sleep in his own bed. We started a routine of 3 books, prayers, kisses and birdies. The birdies is an old crib mobile that plays 'twinkle twinkle" several times and projects birds on the ceiling. It took one week of me sitting next to him until he fell asleep and now 2 weeks later I turn on the birdies and leave. I can't believe how easy it has been!
Now if I can get my night nursling to get out that would be AWESOME! I would like just one night of 7+ hours sleep with no interruptions!

Meet the Karafa's

Well we aren't as crazy as the Focker's but pretty darn close! I will do a Love Story post later on about Blair and I so I can post some pretty cute pictures of just us. Long story short we were married June 20, 2003 in the Mesa Temple. We had our first midget in March 2005 and the second one came along in December 2006. Good thing I'm posting the dates, Daddy likes to forget them!
Blair works with all his High School friends (aka the Mormon Mafia) at Desert Services Intl. and I work three days a week at USA Today. Otherwise you can find me under a pile of boys, diapers and dishes. We live in Buckeye, AZ which is where Blair grew up. I swore I would never move to the "West Side" but I have learned to love my long commute and my desert landscapes. I'm still a Mesa girl at heart though!
