Catching up...

It's been a busy week around here, at least it seems that way to Mom! Sunday I wasn't feeling well so Jordan and I piled up on the couch and watched Enchanted. I don't think I have seen it the whole way through before. We both enjoyed it.

Monday was D-Day. D as in DENTIST. The much un-anticipated day of tooth extraction was upon us. I took a few pictures of Jordan with his teeth for one last time. Once he has healed up I will take pictures again. My poor baby! He was excited about his $10 from the tooth fairy though.

The boys and I made our Trick or Treat bags for this year. Dillon was not that enthused by the project (as usual). I am sure he will enjoy the bag more after it's full of candy for Mom him!

We recently moved the furniture around in both the family room area (up & down) because I have the 3 year itch. Moving furniture is free and that's about the budget I have right about now. Upstairs now has a very tight little corner that I use to store odds & ends like the Wii Fit board, TV blankets and TV trays. Oh yeah, and two silly little boys!

I know they are both skinny minny's but I have no idea how they fit in there!

Flashback Friday

My face has been at the top of the blog for far too many days now! I have a bunch of things to post about and just haven't gotten all my pictures together so today it will have to be Flashback Friday!

I was looking around on my work computer to find the perfect picture to post and found this:

Weekend with the Karafa's

Friday night was the Ward Campout. We are not brave enough to actually camp with our kids (actually mostly Dillon). We did go out for dinner and a campfire program though. Thanks Bridgette for capturing us on photo.

Saturday we took the boys to the state fair. I haven't been since seventh grade and I don't think I missed much. We tried some fair food (bad idea) and saw some animals!

That night Blair took me on a birthday date. We had dinner at Saddle Ranch Chophouse (ok food, high price, bad service & way too many pathetic singles!) It was a fun time with my sweetie though!

This was our second try. I am not high, I had the red eye thingie going! I still look freaky though!

This really is not a flattering photo but oh well, I am ridiculously proud of myself. I made this skirt for my birthday present to myself. I already have plans on how to alter the pattern slightly and make a few more.

Fun on the Farm...

Today was a good day! It was Aunt Gill's 18th birthday so we decided to celebrate it for her since she was cooped up in the car on her way home. (Happy b-day Gill! Your gift is me not posting a picture of you on my blog. Love ya!)

We took advantage of this awesome weather and took the boys to Schnepf Farms.

Jordan got a spider painted on his face. He thought this was pretty awesome!

We saw some frisbee-catching dogs, went on a hayride and Jordy & Daddy played some golf.

Jordan got to be a real-live cowboy and ride Bullseye (until the pony apparently growled at him and freaked him out!)

The boys rode on the oldest (registered) Carousel in Arizona. Yippee. Jordy was bummed he didn't get the pig. He settled for the rooster instead.

We finished our run in the pumpkin patch. Mommy tried to get some cute pictures! Tried!

I think everyone was tired out. Even Daddy is snoring away and it is only the 6th inning of the Cubs game! It's probably better for his mental health anyways!

My favorite month!

Yeah! October is finally here! This is my favorite time of year and not only because it is my birthday month. I love the fall colors, Halloween (my favorite holiday) and the anticipation for the Christmas season. Did you know that it is only 84 days until Christmas?

Speaking of Christmas, I saw a good idea on another website about gifts for kids at Christmas. I am all about spending less on material items and spending more quality time together. I would really love a handmade Christmas but I don't have the time or energy to accomplish that this year! Anyways the rules for Christmas are:
