Marrying Blair has opened up a whole new family tree to discover and explore and I have become slightly obsessed. I blame my two week free ancestry.com subscription. I have to do my sleuthing now! I have found some pretty interesting things online but the best part is it has opened a discussion with Nanny & Pappy (Blair's grandparents) about their family. Just last night we had a party for my nephew and sat around going through some old family photo's. Like this one of Pappy & Grandpa fishing. I just love it. Isn't my father in law just the cutest little Guy?
I hope to be able to get together with N&P again soon to start documenting their life stories. The little tidbits I have heard so far are fascinating. Maybe I will get all the good "dating stories" from Nanny. Hopefully Pappy will tell me all about his WWII service in the South Pacific. Especially since high school was so boring he decided to join the Navy at 17.
I can't wait!

Very Cool. I watch that show too. Actually I have it recorded from Friday that I haven't watched yet. Get this, Jeff doesn't even know what his Grandfather's name was. I know there's work to be done there! Actually, I think one of his aunts has a lot done I just need to get it from her. But Jeff's Grandma was married three times.... his dad has been married three times.... I wish I had know this before I was his first wife!!
I love old pictures! How exciting to find out lots of new stuff.
