Good finds...

I had to share my treasures from Snowflake. First I found this super cute (and working) piano at an Antique shop and had to have it. The boys love it! I hear "tink tink tink" every morning now! I didn't notice the missing key in my joy of finding it but Blair says he can make a wooden one and glue it in.

And I somehow talked my mom into giving me these super cute shoes and 2 skirts. If you know my mom you know it is hard to get anything from her. She is convinced she will need it later on!

More 4th Fun

As rare as it it is to get everyone together we decided to take some family pictures. It was originally my idea and I look the worst. Nice! Ben decided to hang out with friends so he is the only one missing.

Slip N' Sliding in Snowflake!

We had so much fun in Snowflake this weekend. Jordan had a total meltdown when we left. Apparently Grandma Hunt's is his FAVORITE place ever. It was so nice to get out of the heat for awhile!

I have to say the best part about blogging is it really makes you take more pictures, at least for me anyways. So let the photo show begin.

My friends...

I almost posted this earlier today and didn't. I don't know why!

I remember when I heard that Blair's oldest and best friend Willie was dating someone. I was really excited and of course wanted to meet her immediately. I had always envisioned Willie's wife and I being best gal pals and I was hoping this could be the one. The first day I met Christy we instantly clicked and were fast friends. Unfortunately they decided to live in the East Valley so we haven't hung out as much as I would like!

I found out about her pregnancy on a business trip to SLC. Christy called me so I wouldn't have to hear it from Blair (thank you!). I was so excited for them and for my boys knowing they would have a new friend. I had a feeling that big tough Willie would end up with a little girl and I was right. If you know Willie you know that he is big and tough on the outside, but if you really know him you know what a softie he can be. I remember the first time he saw Jordan he just snuggled him right up and was so good with him. Christy and Willie will be the BEST parents!

Christy has been on bedrest for a few weeks with hypertension and was admitted last week with Pre-eclampsia. I spoke to her Monday and she sounded okay. The goal was to make it to today (29 weeks) and hopefully even next week. Unfortunately Miss Hanes is stubborn like her Daddy and wanted to come today.

I don't know much other than baby & Momma are okay. I have seen the sweetest picture on Blair's cell phone of their beautiful little girl with her Daddy's huge hand resting beside her (okay I am totally crying again!). I am getting my information from Blair so you know it is shoddy at best! And of course we are leaving town tomorrow.

If you have good thoughts or prayers to spare please think of my sweet friends and their baby girl. I'm sure it will be awhile before she's able to come home. I have no doubt she has her Daddy's strength and her Mommy's determination and everything will be okay, but as a Mom my heart is breaking for them!

**Update**
I spoke to the proud Daddy last night and "Baby Girl" is doing well. She is a little spunky and fighting the nurses which is a great sign! Christy will hopefully be home Monday and Baby Girl (still unnamed) will come home when she can eat, gain weight and stay warm on her own!

Tuesday ramblings...

I am at work today, bored to tears and grateful for the cyberworld and all my friends blogs to keep me entertained! I decided to read some articles from LDS.org and found the one I have been telling Betsy about for weeks. It is entitled "Sharing the Gospel Using the Internet". For the friends and family who have been teasing me for my blogging obsession I have been using this as my excuse! And now it is in the July Ensign!
So today I will be a better member and do my part to talk about something other than my family. I have the great opportunity to be a Primary teacher for the CTR 6 class. I am often amazed at how easily and quickly the children learn the gospel concepts. Their faith is so strong and their desire to please their Heavenly Father and Jesus is great. This week our lesson was "Jesus Christ is a Shepherd". I brought my ratty (but clean) old blue robe and some scrap fabric and let the kids dress up like a Shepard. We found hidden puzzle pieces of a lost sheep. I think the kids enjoyed the lesson and understood what it meant to be a shepherd. They also understood that we were like sheep and that Jesus Christ was our shepherd. That he did not want us to stray from the flock, and that he would miss even one of us.
There was a period in my life where I was that straying sheep, lost from the flock and unable to find my way. I am forever grateful to my family and friends who cared even still and for the prayers that must have been said for me. I am also thankful that our Heavenly Father is loving and forgiving, and has given us the ability to choose for ourselves. As stubborn as I am, I know that the decision had to be mine.
