There is a lot going on in the Karafa house right about now. Our jaunt to the desert could not have come at a better time.
The boys enjoyed the ride to Vegas with Daddy. He has been working in Tucson for a few weeks now and they always love when Daddy is home. We took advantage of our few hours together and showed the boys some local sights. Our big hits? M&M World, The Lions at the MGM Grand, Raising Canes chicken & a great view.
As sad as we were to pass the kids off on G&G Karafa we were really glad to have some time alone! We were able to see a double feature at the movies, had some great meals and even took in a showing of The Beatles Love. It was amazing.
All this couldn't come at a better time. We have recently found out that Blair will most likely be heading the The Great White North for work. For a month. Or maybe 3-4... He has his passport paperwork in for expedited service and we should know more in the coming days. My heart is breaking at the reality of it but my head tells me that this is the best thing for our family right now.
As my luck seems to be going, there are layoff rumors floating around at work again. If you happen to keep up with the news, several papers have been reporting about "massive" layoffs through Gannett (which owns USA Today). Fun times!
I am trying my best to stay positive (easier said than done!). Coming home to my two precious boys has helped alot. I missed them WAY MORE than they did me!

M&Ms World is my absolute FAVORITE place to go in Las Vegas! Lucky lucky!
