Family Night at the Karafa's

We have recently decided to try having FHE. Blair and I have admittedly been slackers on this and our boys were definitely missing out. Jordan loves it. The boys and I decided to make some chocolate chip cookies for our treat but first we needed outfitted in style...

I have a good friend Kristin who inspires me to be crafty with my kids! I would send you to her blog but she's one of those private people! :) The best part is that I already had the fabric and everything laying around.

Jordy loves to help me cook and has become especially fond of fried eggs lately. I decided to be brave and let him do the eggs all by himself (Thanks Kris and Carson for the confidence!) You can see from the first picture that he was a little disgusted by the mess on his hands (and the whole shell in the bowl) but by the 2nd try he was a pro!

Dillon really enjoyed snacking on the chocolate chips.

Albuquerque...

It's 10:30 here in Albuquerque and I really should be making the most of getting a quiet night's sleep but instead I am online checking out my sister in law's blog (that I didn't know she had!) I got a swanky room unfortunately without a King size bed but the biggest disappointment was no bathtub! I was so looking forward to a nice soak without seeing pudgy fingers under the door and hearing "Mommy, Dillon is on the top bunk." Bummer

This is my first overnight trip to Albq so I finally got a chance to spend some time with Tara & Alonzo (Blair's sister and her hubby). They are very good tour guides and took me all over. The highlights were a very yummy Italian dinner at Zio's, a drive by the Albq Temple (gorgeous in the pink sunset), a drive up to the Sandia Tram (great view) and down to the campus area for dessert. I don't remember the name but we ate cannoli at the cutest restaurant. We will definitely be making a return trip back with Blair. After Tara emails me the pictures I will attach them to this post and you will see why Blair will love it!

Only a few more hours of this great cooler weather and I will get to squeeze my 3 boys! I miss them so much!

Oh yeah, I really really should not have forgot my TUMS! Maybe thats why I can't sleep!

When the children are quiet...

You know they are up to no good! I was upstairs and hadn't heard a peep out of my boys for a few minutes. When I went down to investigate I was almost knocked over as they both high-tailed it to the couch. They don't look like they have been naughty right??


Wrong!

Notice the suckers. These were illegally procured from my Primary bag. They decided to taste every flavor. Some of them twice.

At least they were nice enough to clean up after themselves right? They put all the tasted (and rejected) suckers right back in the bag!

Our week in review

Well my week of vacation is officially over. It's kind of sucked because of all weeks Blair has been getting home later and later each night so we haven't even seen each other. Thank goodness for the Olympics coverage late at night because we have at least enjoyed staying up too late watching that together.

It was my goal to teach Dillon to say Mom, Mommy, Mama pretty much anything resembling my name this week. Unfortunately he was not able to make my year! Instead he learned Elmo. What a smart boy! I have enjoyed our alone time this week but he hasn't snuggled as much as I liked, he has become Jordy Jr. and has wanted to watch Toy Story on repeat. I think he just likes having the Buzz and Woody toys to himself. But he has never gotten down the stairs so fast as when I ask him if he's ready to go get Brother from school.

Jordan is totally loving pre-school. Each day he gives me the rundown on the full activities. Apparently today he dumped out all the food toys. Thank goodness Lily was there to help clean them up. Or should I say Yiyy. I have never noticed how much Jordy says Y's for L's until he wanted to tell me about what "Yetter he yearned" today! It reminds me of my cousin Tyler that Betsy used to tickle torture until he would scream "Yeave my yegs ayone!" Still cracks me up.

I really meant to do something productive this week and so far this is all I have accomplished. I still have 4 rows and countless clipping to do but at least it's something! And now that the Gymnastics portion of the Olympics is over maybe I can finish it up before I head out to Albuquerque on Tuesday.

ABC's & 123's

It's the Jordsters first day of preschool. Doesn't he look fancy? (Fancy is his word!) He is going to Miss Brooke's preschool and was so excited this morning. Here he is in all his glory!
